Living with Functional Neurological Disorder can be a deeply lonely journey. Before I discovered FND Connect, I felt completely isolated and invisible, carrying the weight of a complex condition that so few people seemed to understand. That all changed when I attended a coffee morning set up by Amy Nash. It was the very first time I had ever met anyone else with FND, and that single morning turned out to be a massive turning point in my life. Since then, FND Connect has become my absolute safe space. It is a place where I never have to justify what I am going through or struggle to explain my symptoms; I am simply understood. For the first time in a long while, I feel seen instead of hidden away. Being surrounded by people who truly get it has allowed me to slowly regain my confidence, and I am so grateful to have built a wonderful, supportive group of friends through the charity. I owe a special debt of gratitude to Emma, Amy, Jazmine, and Tricia. They have personally stood by me and supported me through some of my absolute lowest moments, offering compassion and strength precisely when I needed it most. Their kindness has meant more to me than words can say. On top of the invaluable emotional support, FND Connect has given me practical tools to navigate daily life. I’ve learned excellent grounding techniques that have helped me manage and overcome the overwhelming symptoms I experience, giving me back a sense of control over my own body. I genuinely cannot thank this charity enough for everything they have done and continue to do every single day. FND Connect hasn't just given me guidance and techniques; it has given me hope, strength, and a lifelong community.

From 5 published reviewsAmazing group of people. When I found this group I was isolated but now I'm not alone. Seize control has changed my life I now have a place to record symptoms and track patterns. The in person groups sound like they will be great source of support
I do lots of research. I will go down that rabbit hole to get the help I need. I found FND connect a few days before my diagnosis and it helped having a support network of people who were living with FND who had different symptoms but the same goal of offering friendship support and an ear to bend. It gave me the motivation to try and find ways of making my life better. I know I won’t ever get rid of FND, but that’s okay cause one thing I won’t get rid of is the support the positivity and the care, that being part of this community has given me.The lives on TikTok every day of the week Monday to Friday give me a place to discuss my situation and has given me a platform where I can grab some of the confidence I lost from having FND and not being able to communicate well. I feel blessed to have found FND Connect and the people who run it and join the livestreams. If your struggling I would 1000% recommend joining the discord group and connecting with their team because you won’t feel alone trying to navigate all the things we have too with a diagnosis. You’ll be allowed to be share the good and bad and have people listen and not dismiss you.
I have felt incredibly alone at times because my friends and family don't understand why I might be fine one day and exhausted the next. FND connect has helped me find a community who know exactly how I feel and don't judge me when I'm having a moment. Some of the people that I have joined online have a lot of knowledge and are happy to help in any way they can. Thank you for this community
